Beginnings

A Guitar Volcano of Energy and a Renaissance Man

Date of birth: March 8, 1984 - the day a man was born who proves that a guitar can be a tool for conquering both parish halls and rock stages alike.

Majk started his musical adventure early - at just 5 years old, when he fell in love with the sound of the guitar at summer camp. By age 13, he was wielding the infamous Defil with metal strings - an instrument known more for playing on people's nerves than on stages. Later he switched to a classic Hohner, bought with the first money he earned himself by washing his uncles' cars - a Polish "American Dream," just with a bucket and a sponge.

Between 1999 and 2002, he led a schola (church choir), but quickly discovered that rock was playing in his soul louder than psalms. Together with Leszek, Mikolaj, Mlody and Karol, they formed the band Marche-a-terre2, touring parishes and playing Catholic rock.

Musical Path

From parish halls to punk rock

They got their gear from Father Grzesiek, but their souls were restless - the Catholic songs quickly transformed into secular ones, giving birth to the band 4dziki in 2001. Unfortunately, this chapter lasted only a few years, but they left their mark with 11 tracks recorded in a studio.

In 2009, Michal moved to Zielona Gora, where he joined Dormant Dissident as a rhythm guitarist. Over five years, they produced the EP DDemo and the album KnightMares. After returning to Wroclaw in 2014, Majk joined Panzerhund, where he and his bandmates created real heavy metal, culminating in the album Plyta z Hewi Metalem (A Record with Heavy Metal).

In 2018, persuaded by Leszek, he returned to his roots - to 4dziki. After the first reunion gig in December 2018, the band hasn't slowed down, playing dozens of concerts and festivals, crowned by the EP Ku Chwale Dziczyzny (To the Glory of the Wild) in 2023.

In the meantime, Michal decided to tame his vocal beast. In 2022, he started taking singing lessons because - as he puts it - "I thought I could sing, but life showed me that two gigs in a row is like running a marathon in a helmet."
